Koopa is the seventeenth character in the Mario Party series. Koopa has always been a role-player in the Mario Party franchise. In Mario Party 2, 3, and 5, he had his own Koopa bank where he collected five coins from people who passed by the bank. In Mario Party 4, he hosted his own board, Koopa’s Seaside Soiree. The Koopa clan could be found on Pagoda Peak and Windmillville in Mario Party 7. And in Mario Party 8, Koopa got another board, Koopa’s Tycoon Town. Besides that, Koopa has appeared in countless mini-games as either an onlooker or being part of the objective of the mini-game.
Koopa has been a part of the Mario franchise since the early days, making his first appearance in Super Mario Bros. They never intentionally harm you, but seem to get stepped on anyways. Koopa made his playable debut in Super Mario Kart. Since then, he has been playable in many Mario franchises such as golf, tennis, and baseball.
But Koopa was never playable in Mario Party, until Mario Party 9 changed that. Koopa became one of the three new additions to the character roster in Mario Party 9. And Koopa is ready to party!
