Mario Party Legacy

PartyPlanner64, The First Mario Party Custom Board Editor

PartyPlanner64 is a brand new and upcoming custom board editor for the original Mario Party! It’s the first of its kind and it’s leaps and bounds beyond anything we have ever seen in the Mario Party hacking scene.

Thanks to this wonderful and surprisingly advanced tool, we have our very first custom Mario Party board, a remake of Shy Guy’s Jungle Jam from Mario Party 4:

Quite incredible, huh? And certainly out of the blue! The guy or group behind PartyPlanner64 has released these videos in the last three weeks, yet there was no lead up or announcement of any kind beforehand. If you’re worried this may be too good to be true, the crew behind PartyPlanner64 released another two videos looking at two additional custom boards. Check out one based on Pac-Man and one based on the Mario Kart track SNES Donut Plains 3 in the videos below!

So what exactly does PartyPlanner64 do? For starters, you’ll be able to replace the background image of a board to add in your own board artwork. The editor also allows you to place spaces and add board events like Toad and Boo, along with the ability to change the background images of event scenes like the starting scene and an encounter with Bowser. You can also change the music to another Mario Party song, adjust the difficulty and board description in the board preview, and change the name of the board, of course! Do keep in mind that the editor is only for the first Mario Party.

Looks cool? If that’s the case, be sure to subscribe, like, and comment on these videos to show support and love! PartyPlanner64 does not have a release date at this time, but expect to continue to hear news about the latest editor to join the Nintendo hacking scene!

Simply awesome, I don’t know what to say. Which Mario Party fan ever wanted to make their own board? Kudos to the people behind this amazing project!

Now all I need is some program that lets you make your own minigames and I’m set for life.

…and maybe a way to port Daisy and Waluigi into Mario Party 1.

We need a model importer or wtv and a roster expansion thingy that allows us to have like 15 Characters in the game 😛

Looks unique and cool. I’ve always wanted to make Custom Boards. I once hoped Mario Party 10 would have a board editor.

I don’t know why a Mario Kart themed board never crossed my mind before. I must be the only person not to see how obvious and good of an idea that is. Well, aside from Nintendo that is…

This is excellent btw. I’m just hoping it doesn’t get C&D’d.
