New Mario Party Arcade Machine Set to Appear in Japan

Looks like yet another Mario Party arcade game is set to release in Japan. Mario Party Fushigi no Challenge World will be the sixth arcade iteration of the Mario Party series, and this one is based off Mario Party 9. The six-player game will feature six different touch panels that will allow players to participate in revamped versions of the boards and minigames from Mario Party 9. The game will be fully unveiled at the Japanese Amusement Expo on February 19 with a full release set for the summer in Japan. The Mario Party arcade games never make it overseas, so don’t expect a release outside of Japan!

Through photos and videos, we’ve been able to see that there will be versions of the following boards and minigames in the arcade machine:

  • Toad Road (board)
  • Pier Pressure
  • Buddy Bounce
  • Mecha Choice
  • Sand Trap
  • Castle Clearout
