Lucario Confirmed for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS

In a potentially unexpected announcement, but nevertheless coinciding with the 6 year anniversary of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in Japan, Masahiro Sakurai today announced the return of the Aura Pokémon, Lucario, for both versions of the newest Smash Bros. Below is what he posted on Miiverse:
The heroic Aura Pokémon, Lucario, joins the battle!! We’ve increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with.

    New character idea: Little Mac!
Little Mac is the only character in the game that uses a “Star Punch System”. Every time he hits another fighter while he/she uses a attack or taunts, he’ll gain a star. He can carry a maximum of 3 stars, which, depending on how many he has, will make his attacks stronger.
Special: Star Punch-As stated above, the more stars he has, the more powerful the punch. However, he needs at least one star to use this attack.
Side-Special: Stun Punch-Mac jabs another fighter in the head, stunning him/her for a few seconds.
Up-Special: Uppercut-Little Mac jumps in the air and uppercuts, which makes it both an attack and a recovery. However, Mac can only uppercut strait up or diagonal.
Down-Special: Counter-Similar to Marth, Mac blocks his face, and if he is hit while blocking, he performs a sucker punch counter.
Final Smash: Giga Mac-Similar to Giga Bowser, except less powerful, but faster.

      Why the dislike?

I don’t like Little Mac, so I disapprove of him in Smash, that’s all. Down-votes are there for polity disagreeing with a subject, so that’s what I did. I’m not like that Magikooper clone – annoyingly down-voting everything for no reason – I was just saying that I prefer otherwise than your idea. You were very creative though.

Sorry, I just wanted to know who was downvoting. I thought the trollish downvoters were on the loose again.

          • Sea Slug and Wagashi

            No offense taken.

        • Name

Punch-out is a big series and Little Mac is the main character, so he should appear.

          • Sea Slug and Wagashi

Maybe, but I feel someone with no real special/supernatural powers or abilities doesn’t belong in Smash. Plus he’s doesn’t have the best face out there.

          • Name

So your reasons for not wanting him are he doesn’t look the “type” (as if Smash’s roster has a specific look), and he has no powers? …Olimar, Captain Falcon, ROB, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager. None of those characters really have any special powers, yet they still appeared. Sakurai is creative, he would be able to make something for Little Mac like he did for them.

          • Sea Slug and Wagashi

I was just trying to find a nice way to say that I find him super ugly, Smash obviously has no facial “type”. And all of those people have powers.

Olimar: Has the ability to tactfully maneuver a group of alien species. Has the ability to produce a whistling sound with a high enough frequency to pass through a glass-like material with no apparent defects.

            Captain Falcon: Pyrokinetic.

R.O.B.: Is a robot. Has the ability to produce extremely deadly laser beams from it’s ocular lenses. Has the ability to propel itself skywards using super powerful jet boosters. Has the ability to properly fire a gyro. Has an extremely flexible spine. Has the ability to shift its torso in order to adapt to combat situations.

WFT: Has the ability to summon a miniature sun and various exercise gear (volleyball, hula hoops.) Has the ability to spin fast enough in order to hover above the ground.

Villager: Has the ability to grasp virtually any regular or dangerous object which is airborne and store it in a seemingly non-existent large storage area for later use. Has the ability to summon a multitude of objects and use them in a sometimes strange manner for combat. Has access to water that can grow a tree in split-seconds.

And I probably missed a bit. At least CF, R.O.B., and Villager should have been obvious! All Little Mac would do is punch, punch, punch.
